He was 6. 10 or 16 May, or 8 Aug. 1739 ; ed. at Eton and at Mag Coll. Oxford; styled Viscount Andover after his father's death, 18 July 1756, till he sue. to the peerage as above % March 1757 ;cr. M.A. of known verses to her (as, "the thing that's most uncommon," viz, "a reasonable Wumau") which end thus : — " Has she no faults then, Envy says, Sir ? Yes, she has one I must aver ; When all the world conspire to praise her, The woman's de<if and will not hear." As to her personal appearance she was, according to H. Walpole, "of a just height, well made, extremely fair, with the finest light brown hair." Her portrait (at lliioking) is engraved in her " Letters from 1712 to 1767," edited in 1824.
