He iu. 25 April 1849, Charlotte, 2d da. of Tliomas Browne EVANS, of Dene House co. Oxford, and North Tuddenham, co. Norfolk, by Charlotte, da. of Sir John Godin Simeon, 1st Bart. He d. at 42, St. George's square, Pimlico, 1 Keb. 1886, and was bur. 5th at. Fraserburgh, co. Aberdeen, aged 65. Will pr. 5 May 1386 over £23,000. His widow d. at the same place, 11 June 1890. He m. 7 July 18S5, at St. Paul's, Knights- bridge, Mary Helena, sister of Sir Henry Christopher G rattan- Bellew, 3d Bart., da. of Thomas Arthur Gr.vttax-Bellew, formerly Bellew, of Mount Be'lew, co. ( b ) In this he is called " Wid< »wer," and the fact of his son being administrator and no mention being made of the widow renouncing, tends to confirm such statement. In this case the date 1800) of his wife's death (taken from Wood's "■Douglas") must be wrong.
