OF KING CHARLES THE FIRST. 4 9 j after reafoning upon the lowed proportion and prqyifion , wherewith the Miniflrie ferving the Cure at each Kirke , fhall be provided , Have found it meet and expedient , that the lowed: proportion fhall be eight Chald- er of Victual, where victual is payed , or proportionally in filver or victual , as the Commiffioners fhall ap- point , at the fettling of the Kirke , and according to the Eftate of that part of the Countrey , where the pay- ment of the ftipend fliall occurre. And thinks it meet , that the faid proportion of eight Chalder of victual , or proportionally in filver, as faid is, fhall be the loweft maintenance to each Kirke, except fuch particular Kirkes occurre , wherein there fliall be a juft, reafonable, and expedient caufe to goe beiieatii the quantitie now determined. AND His Majeftie, and Eftates forefaids , referre to the Commiffioners to be chofen by his Majeftie , at this prefent Parliament , The confederation of the reafons and caufes , which may move them ( after the valuation of the true worth of the Teinds of ilke Parilh be clofed ) To determine and modifie a lcfie quantitie for the Minifters mai ntenance , nor the quantitie forefaid of eight Chalder of viclual, or eight hundred markcs in victual or moneys proportionally , And what the faids Comiffioners fhall determine therein , the fame to ftand notwithftanding of tliis prefent Ratification- And alfo his Majeftie and Eftates ratifie and approve the Whole particular Acts of the faid Commiffion of Surrenders and Teinds , whereby ftipends are appointed and modified by the faids Commiffioners alreadie , And ordaine the Minifters to whom the fame is affigned , to have intromiffion therewith : And that the Lords of Seffion direct letters of horning and poynding, iri favour of the faid Minifters conforme thereto.upon one fimple charge often dayes allennerly . And alfo upori all other Acts to be made for plantation of Kirks by the Commiffioners appointed by his Majeftie and Eftates for that effect.
