Part I
Exercise of powers
(1) The power conferred by section 25 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1967 is exercised by the Secretary of State for the Environment as respects England and Wales and by the Secretary of State for Scotland as respects Scotland (see the definition of the appropriate Minister' in section 104(1) of that Act).
(2) The powers conferred by sections 54 and 55 of the said Act of 1967 are exercised by the three Secretaries of State jointly (see the definition of the appropriate Minister' in section 104(1) of that Act as read with section 108(1) thereof).
(3) The powers conferred by the provision in column 5 of Part I of Schedule 4 to the Road Traffic Act 1972 which relates to section 22 of that Act are exercised by the Secretary of State for the Environment and the Secretary of State for Scotland acting jointly (see that provision).
