Webb, who, in August last, was wounded by some person unknown, whilst he was employed in carrying the mail of the United States, and who is now under the care of the commandant at fort Stoddert.
Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, That this act shall not be so construed as to affect any existing contract for carrying the mail.

Acknowledgement of the sense of Congress of the services of the Danish consul at Tripoli.Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the President of the United States be requested to cause to be made known to Nicholas C. Nissen, Esquire, his Danish majesty’s consul residing at Tripoli, the high sense entertained by Congress, of his disinterested and benevolent attentions, manifested to Captain Bainbridge, his officers, and crew, during the time of their captivity in Tripoli.
