" SEC. 2 . There is hereby authorized to be appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of $1,650, or so much thereof as may be necessary, to carry out the provisions of this Act ." Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United State s of America in Congress a ssembled, That the Federal Highway Act approved November 9, 1921 (42 Stat . L . 212), as amended or supplemented, be further amended by inserting after section 3 a new section, to be numbered 3a, and to read as follows "SEC. 3a. The Secretary of Agriculture is authorized to cooperate with t he Sta te hig hway depart ments and wi th th e Depa rtment of the Interior in the construction of public highways within Indian reserv ations , and to pa y the amount assum ed th erefor from the funds allotted or apportioned under this Act to the State wherein the reservation is located ." SEC . 2. All Acts or parts of Acts in any way inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed, and this Act shall take effect on its passage . Approved, February 20, 1931 .
