Sum authorized . SEC . 2. There is hereby authorized to be appropriated the sum of $100 .000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, to carry out the provisions of this amendatory Act . Contributions from SEC. 3. Whenever steamship companies desiring the benefits of ste ams hip com pan ies . such extended quarantin e service at any part, shall offer to advance funds in order to permit the immediate institution of such service at . such port, the Sec retary of the Treasury ma y, in his dis cretion, Repayme nt' rece ive such funds an d expend the sam e Tor suc h purpos e ; a nd the moneys so contributed shall be repaid by the Secretary, without interest, from any funds appropriated under authority of section 2 of this Act .
