Enforcement of the Food and Drugs Act : For enabling the Secre- tary of Agriculture to carry into effect the provisions of the Act of June 30, 1906 (U. S. C., title 21, sets. 1 -1 5) , entitled "An Act for p revent ing t he man ufact ure, sale, or tr anspo rtatio n of adulte rated , or misbranded, or poisonous, or deleterious foods, drugs, medicines, and liquors, and for regulating traffic therein, and for other pur- p o s e s " ; to cooperate w ith associa tions and s cientific so cieties in the revision of the United States Pharmacopoeia and development of methods of analysis, and for investigating the character of the chem- ical and physical tests which are applied to American food products in foreign countries, and for inspecting the same before shipment when desired by the shippers or owners of these products intended for countries w zere chemical and physical tests are required before the said products are allowed to be sold therein, $1,125,000 : Provided, That not more than $4,280 shall be used for travel outside of the' United States . Enforcement of the tea importation act : For e nabli ng the Secr e- tary of Agriculture to carry into effect the provisions of the Act approved March 2, 1897 (U . S . C ., title 21, sees. 41-50), entitled "An Act to prevent the importation of impure and unwholesome tea," as amended, including payment of compensation and expenses of the members of the board appointed under sec tion 2 of the Act and all other necessary officers and employees, $43,800 . For enabling the Secretary of Agriculture to carry into effect the provisions of the Naval Stores Act of March 3, 1923 (U. S. C., title 7, sees . 91-99), $39,500 . Enforcement of the Insecticide Act : For enabling the Secretary of Agriculture to carry into effect the provisions of the Act of April 26, 1910 (U . S . C ., title 7, sets . 121-134), entitled "An Act for pre- venting the manufacture, sale, or transportation of adulterated or misbranded Paris greens, lead arsenates, other insecticides, and also fungicides, and for regulating traffic therein, and for other purposes," $224,000 . Enforcement of the Milk Importation Act : For e nab lin g t he Se cre - tary of Agriculture t o carry into effect the provisions of an Act approved February 15, 1927 (U. S. C., Supp. III, title 21, sees. 141- 149), entitled "An Act to regulate the importation of milk and cream into the United States for the purpose of promoting the dairy industry of the United States and protecting the public health," $53,000. Enforcement of the caustic poison Act : For enabling the Secretary of Agriculture to carry into effect the provisions of an Act approved March 4, 1927 (U. S . C ., Supp . III, title 15, sets . 401-411), entitled "An Act to safeguard the distribution and sale of certain dangerous caustic or corrosive acids, alkalies, and other substances in interstate and foreign commerce," $26,700 .
