Her death. "Cornelia A. Patterson died on Sunday at her home, 1485 Jefferson avenue. She was the widow of Richard B. Patterson. The funeral will be held to-night at 8 o'clock."
Death of her husband. "Patterson - Suddenly, on Sunday, September 6, 1908, Richard Barnsley Patterson, beloved husband of Cornelia A. Patterson. Funeral services from his late residence, 686 Jefferson avenue, Tuesday evening, September at 8:30 o'clock. Interment private."
Death of her mother. "In Brooklyn, on Saturday, June 12, Mrs. Nancy Betts, widow of Matthew M. Betts, aged 66 years, 7 months and 10 days. Relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend her funeral, on Monday, from her late residence, 77 Carlton avenue."
Death of her father. "We have no tidings of the safety of the pilot boat Commerce. She was seen on the 12th inst. off Egg Harbor, and was in company with the pilot boat Nettle, Number 2, at the time and place, with the wind from East North East and blowing a gale. She hove to while in sight of the Nettle, which is the last account we have of her. The pilots on board were: McKnight Smith, of Brooklyn; Matthew Betts, of Brooklyn; Thomas Scott, of this city, and Nelson Cole. Thomas Smith, an apprentice, (son of the pilot of that name on board,) and Roger Clark, of New London, boat-keeper, cook and three men, were the parties on board. Three of the pilots and the boat-keeper have families."
