Death of his wife. "Native of Ireland. Mrs. Catherine Harney Lindauer, 88, of 53 Mead Avenue, Byram died last night at Rosary Hill Home Hospital, Hawthorne after an extended illness. Born in Ireland March 29, 1879 [sic] Mrs. Lindauer was the wife of LeBaron Lindauer who died a number of years ago. She had resided at 53 Mead Avenue with Mrs. Edith Klaus for the past 18 years Mrs. Lindauer was a Rye resident far many years prior to moving to Byram. Surviving her are several nieces and nephews all residents of New Jersey."
His estate settled. "Le Baron Hart Lindauer of 46 Orchard Avenue, Rye, who died Friday left an estate of $5,000 personal property to his wife Catherine Lindauer of the same address, his will filed for probate in Westchester Surrogate's Courts discloses."
His funeral. "Funeral services for LeBaron Lindauer, of 45 Orchard Avenue, were held on Monday at the William H. Graham Funeral Home. Mr. Lindauer died suddenly last Friday at the United Hospital. The Rev. Dr. J. Lane Miller, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiated. Interment was in Greenwood Union Cemetery. Mr. Lindauer had been a resident of Rye for fifty-four years and had been employed on the Charles Sicard estate for twenty-three years prior to his retirement two years ago. He was sixty-five years old. Surviving are his wife, Catherine H. Lindauer, and a sister, Anna Lindauer Lowe, of Rye."
His funeral. "Funeral services for LeBaron Lindauer, of 46 Orchard Avenue, Rye, who died suddenly at the United Hospital on Friday, were conducted yesterday afternoon at the William H. Graham funeral Parlors, Rye. The Rev. Dr. J. Lane Miller of the Rye Methodist Church officiated and also read committal services at the grave in Greenwood Union Cemetery, Rye."

His obituary. "LeBaron Lindauer, a resident of Rye for 54 years, died yesterday at United Hospital, where he had been taken following a sudden attack. He was 65 years old. Mr. Lindauer, the son of the late Charles and Anna Kirchaw [sic] Lindauer, had been a gardener and general worker at the Charles Sicard estate, Manursing Island, for 23 years, until his retirement two years ago. He was a member of the Rye Methodist Church. Mr. Lindauer is survived by his wife Catherine H. Lindauer, and a sister, Anna Lindauer Lowe, of Rye."
Buying 46 Orchard Avenue, Rye, New York. "Le Baron Lindauer, gardener for C. L. Sicard of Manursing Island has purchased the Crandell house and property at 46 Orchard Avenue, Rye. Mr. Lindauer, who had leased the place for the Summer, plans to have it redecorated for his own occupancy."
"Mr. and Mrs. Le Baron Lindauer, formerly of 38 Elm Place, Rye, have rented a house at 122 Grace Church Street."
Death of his mother. "She is survived by two daughters Mrs. Eloise Freudenberg of Jersey City and Mrs. Anna Lowe of Rye; and two sons Arthur Lindauer and Le Baron Lindauer of Rye."
His wife visits Ireland. "Mrs. LeBaron Lindauer, of 38 Elm street, sailed Saturday for Ireland, on a two months' visit to her mother."
Marriage of his niece. "A very pretty home wedding was solemnized Thursday evening, when Miss Blanche Lowe, daughter of Mrs. Anna Lowe, became the bride of John Wahl, Jr., of Kentucky and Rye in the presence of thirty relatives and friends. The ceremony took place at the bride's home, 38 Elm place and was performed by the Rev. Frederick W. Poten, pastor of the Rye Methodist Church. The bride was charming in a gown of flesh-colored crepe de chine and bridal veil caught up with lilies-of-the-valley. She wore a corsage bouquet of bride's roses, and was given in marriage by her uncle, Le Baron Lindauer. …"
Death of his brother. "In addition to his wife and one son, Harry, he is survived by his mother, one sister, Mrs. Anna Lowe and two brothers, Arthur and LeBaron Lindauer."
Death of his father. "… Deceased is survived by his widow and five children: Mrs. Anna Lowe, Arthur, LeBaron and Harry Lindauer, all of Rye, and Mrs. Eloise Freudenberg of Jersey City Heights, New Jersey."
His parents' 63rd wedding anniversary. "Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lindauer of Locust avenue were surprised at their home last night by members of their family, it being the sixty-third anniversary of their marriage. Their children, five in number were present. They are Mrs. Eloise Freudenberg, of Jersey City, New Jersey; Mrs. Anna Lindauer Lowe, Harry Lindauer, Arthur Lindauer, and Le Baron Lindauer of Rye, New York. Fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren were also at the gathering. Mr. and Mrs. Lindauer are in perfect health. Mr. Lindauer is eighty-four years and Mrs. Lindauer seventy-nine years of age. Mrs. Lindauer danced during the evening with Miss Blanche Lowe of Rye, New York, one of the grandchildren."
Rescuing a child hit by a car. "Village Engineer John Ehler was sitting at a table in the Square House when the sound of the crash came to his ear and he looked up in time to catch the flash of little Mary's blue dress as her body revolved in mid-air. He rushed out and picked up the little lad, from whose head blood was gushing in streams. LeBaron Lindauer, an employee of Dr. Charles Wheeler Walker, who lives but a short distance further down the road, performed a like office for the little girl, and both men hastened with their burdens to Dr. Walker's office." Notes: "office" as in "like office" is used to mean "a duty, particularly owing to one's position or station; a charge, trust, or role; a moral duty."
His marriage. Le Baron Lindauer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lindauer, of Locust avenue, Rye, and Miss Catherine Harnay [sic], of Rye, were, quietly married in the rectory of the Church of Our Lady of Mercy, in Port Chester, by Rev. John. A. Waters, on Saturday evening last, it was learned today. The ceremony was witnessed by Harry C. and Hanna C. Lindauer [sic], brother and sister of the groom. Mr. Lindauer is at present in the employ of Dr. Charles Wheeler Walker, of the Post road."
