- Ransburg - Hahnen Wedding (1910)
- Her wedding. "A wedding characterized by its simplicity took place last evening at the home Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hahnen on West Seventh street, their daughter, Miss Lillian became the bride of Mr. Ransberg. The ceremony took place at 8 o'clock and was witnessed by a company of about fifty, nearly all relatives of the young couple. A pretty color scheme and white was observed in the decorations of the home. The wedding guests were received by the bride's parents. Just before the ceremony Miss Vivian Kivits sang Mendelssohn's "Spring Song," and as the bridal party entered the parlor Miss Mary Kivits played Mendelssohn' Wedding March. The Rev. A. B. Leamer of the St. John's Lutheran church read the impressive marriage service. Irene and Gretchen Hahnen and Martha and Edgar Wirt, nieces and nephew of the bride, stretched a chain of daisies from the stairway to the improvised altar. The bride wore a dainty white lingerie gown. After the ceremony refreshments were served in the dining room. Mr. and Mrs. Ransburg will enjoy a honeymoon trip through the east and will make their future home in Minneapolis. The bride is from one of Des Molnes' best known and pioneer families and has resided here all her life."
