  In the name of God, the Almighty, the Most Merciful. Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
088:001 Has the news come to you of that which will overwhelm? Hal ataka hadeethu alghashiyati
088:002 Faces on that Day which will be shamed. Wujoohun yawma-ithin khashiAAatun
088:003 Labouring and weary. AAamilatun nasibatun
088:004 They will enter a blazing Fire. Tasla naran hamiyatan
088:005 And be given to drink from a boiling spring. Tusqa min AAaynin aniyatin
088:006 They will have no food except from a thorny plant. Laysa lahum taAAamun illa min dareeAAin
088:007 It does not nourish nor avail against hunger. La yusminu wala yughnee min jooAAin
088:008 And faces on that Day which are soft. Wujoohun yawma-ithin naAAimatun
088:009 For their pursuit they are content. LisaAAyiha radiyatun
088:010 In a high paradise. Fee jannatin AAaliyatin
088:011 You will not hear in it any nonsense. La tasmaAAu feeha laghiyatan
088:012 In it is a running spring. Feeha AAaynun jariyatun
088:013 In it are raised beds. Feeha sururun marfooAAatun
088:014 And cups that are set. Waakwabun mawdooAAatun
088:015 And cushions set in rows. Wanamariqu masfoofatun
088:016 And rich carpets spread out. Wazarabiyyu mabthoothatun
088:017 Will they not look at the camels, how are they created? Afala yanthuroona ila al-ibili kayfa khuliqat
088:018 And to the sky, how is it raised? Wa-ila alssama-i kayfa rufiAAat
088:019 And to the mountains, how was it set? Wa-ila aljibali kayfa nusibat
088:020 And to the land, how was it flattened? Wa-ila al-ardi kayfa sutihat
088:021 So remind, for you are but a reminder. Fathakkir innama anta muthakkirun
088:022 You have no power over them. Lasta AAalayhim bimusaytirin
088:023 Except for he who turns away and rejects. Illa man tawalla wakafara
088:024 Then God will punish him with the great retribution. FayuAAaththibuhu Allahu alAAathaba al-akbara
088:025 Indeed, to Us is their return. Inna ilayna iyabahum
088:026 Then to Us is their judgment. Thumma inna AAalayna hisabahum
