The Peach Garden at Fujizuka

O peach blossoms!
Does man come so rarely to see you?
Without a boatman
The ferry lies aslant.

“Ferry ahoy!” I call,
And from behind the peach tree,
A lad, emerging,
Descends to the boat.

By the edge of the barley field
The peach trees bloom;
Under the flower-laden branches
My ferry lands.
