The first line should read "I fling my past behind me, like a robe." This poem was first published by Wilcox in her collection of poems, Maurine and other Poems (1888), with this poem appearing on page 142. I will not correct that mistake here, since I believe this "1910" version came from a reproduced e-text version of the original, which must have mistakenly mis-copied the line. - This version is from Gutenberg, which reads as reproduced here. It's based on the 1914 Gay and Hancock edition, but I can find no scan of that edition to cross-reference. The 1911 edition reads "I fling" etc. —Beleg Tâl (talk) 23:40, 16 July 2019 (UTC)
