A critical omission : a missing adjective
[edit]the word 'right' is missing from line 239
The sentence should read "If you reject this Bill, Lord Salisbury was quite right in what he said as to coercion."
The larger debate hinges on this adjective. It seems a very curious omission. Here is the link to Hansard https://api.parliament.uk/historic-hansard/commons/1886/jun/07/second-reading-adjourned-debate#S3V0306P0_18860607_HOC_113 (your 'Add topic' button should read 'post' or 'publish' as it looks like an invitation to add (another) topic for discussion though I imagine people will work it out). Thank you. MH 185.235.46.7 19:37, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
