Use of Errata template where erroneous text is to be deleted

[edit]

@ShakespeareFan00 Currently where erroneous text is to be deleted this template results in a blank - see for example Page:A_Treatise_of_the_Covenant_of_Grace_(John_Ball).djvu/292 which has just been updated by @Eievie. Is there a better way to use this template in such circumstances, or does the template need to be updated to meet the need in such cases? PeterR2 (talk) 19:12, 7 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Template shoudl be updated. Maybe use a label of [stikeout] ? ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 19:31, 7 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Way out of my abilities and the original writer of the Errata templeate appears to be potentially no longer active (since 2016). Can you help by any chance? PeterR2 (talk) 20:26, 7 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
I don't have time right this moment, but I could start drafting a new version of the template at {{errata/sandbox}} sometime this week. Eievie (talk) 20:37, 7 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
A simple solution would be to insert delete as the errata revision text, rather than leave it blank. --EncycloPetey (talk) 20:45, 7 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Is this template being used correctly? Where in the volume are the Errata published? --EncycloPetey (talk) 19:49, 7 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
The original book has an Errata section at the bottom of the Contents page facing page 1, the start of the main text. PeterR2 (talk) 20:29, 7 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Bug within {{ppoem}}

[edit]

Erotica/How Shall I Woo Thee? has an error where {{errata}} is being weird in the context of {{ppoem}}.

My suspicion right now is that {{errata}} inheriting something in {{ppoem}}, and that's what's causing the weird behavior? If {{errata}} has a class, then a case for .ws-poem .errata could be written, but there's not. Eievie (talk) 01:03, 13 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
