@Xover: Do we truly need this bit of puffery? We have got along so long with it all these years. I found once we get one of such a series that others then want to bring all the other low value templates we don't need. — billinghurst sDrewth 11:44, 3 May 2023 (UTC)

@Billinghurst: Fair question. And these are a bit of a mess over there (not sure why they feel they need so many different variants rather than one that handles most use cases). But, with those caveats, yeah, I think so. They are (well, some of them) quite useful, and they're used in template docs for templates we import from there. Since they are now mostly module-backed, all the little templates are also now unlikely to change much so the maintenance burden is significantly reduced. *shrug* Xover (talk) 13:15, 3 May 2023 (UTC)

@Xover: If you are going to import them and their documentation, I think that you then need to take some responsibility for the documentation. This is setting us up for ugliness having it in the current state. It simply isn't helpful, it definitely doesn't make it easy. That aspect should be part of the decision-making when we determine that an edge template is imported. — billinghurst sDrewth 21:08, 3 May 2023 (UTC)
