Both Drivers Are Given Tickets. Failure to Obey Stop Street Sign is Blamed. Failure to observe a stop street sign was declared responsible for an automobile collision at 6:20 o'clock last night at the intersection of Palisade avenue and Fort Lee Road, Bogota. A car driven by Grover Lindauer, of 509 Queen Anne Road, Teaneck, was going north on Palisade avenue and without making a stop at the stop sign, it is said, proceeded into the intersection. At the same time a car driven by Miss Ethel Burgess, of 328 Morningside Terrace, Teaneck, was going east on Fort Lee Road, and despite the efforts of Miss Burgess to apply her brakes and avoid a collision, her car rammed the Lindauer car. The latter car had the left running board and fender damaged. The Burgess car had the bumper broken. Both drivers made charges less driving and Officer Walter De La Cour gave both summons for last night's court session. Acting Recorder J. D. Lynn in court granted a postponement until September 3.
