Seven councilmen and women were elected at the meeting of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, North Plainfield, last night in Fellowship Hall. They are: For three-year terms, Kenneth Troy, Edwin Shute, Donald Stewart, Mrs. James O'Hara and William Shebey; two-year term, Mrs. Charles S. Richard, and one-year term, Mrs. Thomas Casey. The Rev. J. Edward Gonzalez, pastor, who led the devotions, discussed his 1965 activities and an overall Evangelism program. Retiring councilmen thanked by him for their service were Matthew Vosseller, Jack Herrold, Ernest Mikus, Ray Stokes, Herbert Mattson and Mrs. Jack Herrold. The co-chairmen were Matthew Vosseller, retiring vice president, and the Rev. Mr. Gonzalez. Church council members served refreshments. The new council elected the following officers: Vice president, David C. Dries; treasurer, Allan Congdon; financial secretary, John Boltralik, and secretary, Mrs. Jack Herrold. They and the church council members will be installed Sunday.
