ZERAH, (Heb. Zarach), king of Ethiopia, known to the Egyptians as Azech Amen, who flourished in southern Egypt about 900 B.C. He conquered Egypt and invaded Palestine, where he was defeated by Asa, king of Judah. Zerah then abandoned not only Palestine, but also Egypt (2 Chron. xiv).
