Rukmangal Singh, Raja; b. 1886; nephew of late Raja Haradas Baksha Singh, C.S.I., whose name was specially mentioned by Lord Canning in the famous Proclamation of 1858; succeeded to estate, 1906; installed on the gaddi, 1907; 6th in the list of Provincial Durbaris; received a Certificate of Honour for his splendid work in connection with the famine of 1907-8; has made liberal contributions to the Allahabad University Building Fund, the Muir Central College, and the Central Hindu College, Benares; built the Edward Kshatriya Boarding House and also a poor house at Hardoi; President, Hardoi Kshatriya Sabha; Member, British Indian Association of Oudh, 1908.
