KINGWOOD. A very beautiful wood, used for ornamental work. It is exported from Brazil, and is believed to be the wood of a species of Dalbergia of the natural order Leguminosæ. A number of species of Dalbergia furnish valuable woods, as blackwood, or East India rosewood (Dalbergia latifolia) and sissoo (Dalbergia Sissoo).
