PATZUM, pȧt-thōōm'. A town of the Department of Chimaltenango, Guatemala, 33 miles west of the city of that name. The chief industry is wool-weaving, and in the vicinity sugarcane, grain, and coffee are produced in abundance. Mines of silver, antimony, lead, and coal are found near by. Its population in 1892 was about 6500.
