Being the 54th year of the present reign

Phra Bat Somdet Phra Paramin Maha Bhumibol Adulyadej gives a great royal command by which He orders with His pleasure that it be announced as follows:

Whereas it is appropriate to amend the law on immigration;

Therefore, by and with the advice and consent of the National Assembly, He orders with His gracious pleasure that the following Act be enacted:

Section1.This Act is called the "Immigration Act (No. 3), 2542 BE".

Section2.This Act shall come into force from the day following the day of its publication in the Royal Gazette onwards.

Section3.The fees in the schedule "rate of fees, costs of proceedings, and other expenses" at the end of the Immigration Act, 2522 BE, which have been amended by the Immigration Act (No. 2), 2523 BE, shall be repealed and replaced by the following stipulation:

"Fees

(1) Visa stamping according to section 12(1)
for single use 2,000 baht
for multiple use 10,000 baht
(2) Appeal according to section 22 2,000 baht per person
(3) Application for extension of temporary stay in the Kingdom according to section 35 2,000 baht per person each time
(4) Appeal according to section 36 2,000 baht per person
(5) Application for permission to reenter the Kingdom according to section 39
for single use 2,000 baht per person
for multiple use during the remaining period 5,000 baht per person
(6) Application for permission to take up residence in the Kingdom according to section 45 8,0000 baht per person
(7) Residence certificates according to section 47 or section 51 200,000 baht each
For a residence certificate applicant who is the spouse or child under the age of majority of an alien with residence in the Kingdom or of a Thai national 100,000 baht each
(8) Evidence for notification of leaving the Kingdom, for use in reentry according to section 50(1) 2,000 baht per person
(9) Residence certificates according to section 50(2) 20,000 baht each
(10) Documents issued according to section 52 2,000 baht each
(11) Application for proof of nationality filed with a competent authority according to section 57 800 baht per person

Note: The grounds for promulgation of this Act are as follows: Whereas it is appropriate to amend the fees under the schedule "rate of fees, costs of proceedings, and other expenses" at the end of the Immigration Act, 2522 BE, so as to allow the collection of fees for multiply usable visa stamping and applications for permission to reenter the Kingdom, and whereas the fees designated in the schedule "rate of fees, costs of proceedings, and other expenses" at the end of the Immigration Act, 2522 BE, as amended by the Immigration Act (No. 2), 2522 BE, are not suitable with the present situations and should also be amended for more suitability, it is therefore necessary to enact this Act.
