נעלמו ממנו זה וזה;
נעלמו ממנו זה וזה;

The [types of] [sin involving] recognitions of impurity are two, which are [really] four:
If one became impure, and knew it,
[then] the impurity became unknown to him, [but] he remembered [that something was] holy,
[or] [the fact that something was] holy became unknown to him, [but] he remembered the impurity,
[or else] both this and that became unknown to him;
[then] he ate the holy [item], and [still] did not know [one or the other],
[but] after he ate he recognized [what he had forgotten] –
this is [atoned for] by a variable sin-offering.
If [one] became impure, and knew it,
[then] the impurity became unknown to him, [but] he remembered [about] the Temple,
[or] the Temple became unknown to him, [but] he remembered the impurity,
[or else] both this and that became unknown to him;
[then] he entered the Temple, and [still] did not know [one or the other],
[but] after he exited he recognized [what he had forgotten] –
this is [atoned for] by a variable sin-offering.
