Prayer for the Mambuha

Mark Lidzbarski3807171Mandaïsche Liturgien — Prayer 451920Wikisource
XLV.
Your name is exalted, life,
great is the glory, rich is the light.
The Good One penetrated,
the Founder of the first Mystery,
the Life that became from the Life,
the Kuštā that was from time immemorial at the beginning.
This is the spring of life,
which bubbled up from the place of life,
so that we drink from this spring of life.
He penetrated through life,
founded life and sustained in the house of life.
He penetrated through the worlds,
came, split the firmament and revealed Himself.
You showed us what no eye has seen,
you made us hear what no human ear has heard.
You brought us out of death and connected us with life,
you brought us out of darkness and connected us with light,
you brought us out of evil and connected us with good.
You showed us the way of life
and made us walk the paths of truth and faith.
Let life come and displace death,
let light come and displace darkness,
let the good come and displace the evil.
As the wine mingles with the water,
so mingle your truthfulness, your righteousness and your faith
with all who love your Kuštā name.
And blessed be the life.

Commentary
