Mandaïsche Liturgien (1920)
by Mark Lidzbarski, translated from German by Wikisource

The text below is an English translation of the 103 prayers in Part 1 (the "Qolastā") of Mark Lidzbarski's Mandaïsche Liturgien, which is in turn a 1920 German translation of a manuscript written in Classical Mandaic. The original scribal commentaries, appended to many of the prayers, have also been translated by Lidzbarski (1920). "NN" in the prayers are placeholders for the name of the person reciting the prayer. Mandaic transcriptions in Lidzbarski (1920) were originally written in Hebrew, but are transcribed in Wikisource using Latin-based transliteration. Corrections of scribal errors are noted using square brackets.

The Qolasta is the most important written collection of liturgical prayers in Mandaeism. It was originally written in Classical Mandaic, a linguistic variety of Aramaic.
