An Alley With A Jewish Side And A Non-Jewish Side |
מבוי שצדו אחד אינו יהודי וצדו אחד ישראל |

Paragraph 1 - If an alley has non-Jews on one side and Jews on the other, a different Jew's house is next to it but open to the public domain and not to the alley, and there is a window between it and a Jew of the alley's house, he cannot make an eruv through the window between them in order to move his things to the alley through the Jewish neighbor's house that is open to the alley. However, if there is an opening between them, it is permitted. There is one who forbids even if there is an opening between them. |
סעיף א - מבוי שצדו אחד אינו יהודי וצדו אחד ישראל, ובית של ישראל אחר אצלו פתוח לרשות הרבים ולא למבוי, וחלון בינו לבין ישראל הדר במבוי, אינו יכול לערב דרך החלון שביניהם להוציא כליו למבוי דרך בית ישראל שכנו הפתוח למבוי, אבל אם פתח ביניהם, מתר. ויש מי שאוסר אף בפתח פתוח ביניהם. |

Paragraph 2 - If an alley is one side idolaters and one side Jews, there are windows between Jews' yards, and they all made eruvs through the windows, even though they are now treated as the residents of one house and are permitted to remove and bring in through the windows, they are forbidden from using the alley through the entrances until they rent from the non-Jew. |
סעיף ב - מבוי שצדו אחד עכו"ם וצדו אחד ישראלים, והיו חלונות פתוחות מחצרו לחצר של ישראל וערבו כלם דרך חלונות, אף על פי שנעשו כאנשי בית אחד ומתרים להוציא ולהכניס דרך חלונות, הרי אלו אסורים להשתמש במבוי דרך פתחים עד שישכרו מן האינו יהודי. |
