The Sequence of The Four [Torah] Portions	סדר ד' פרשיות
Paragraph 1 — On the New Moon of the Adar nearest to Nisan which falls out on the Sabbath, we read the Portion of Shekalim, which is "When you shall take..." [Exodus 30:11–12] until "You shall make a copper Washstand..." [Exodus 30:17–18], and the haftarah is "And Yehoyada cut a treaty..." [II Kings 11:17–12:17]. We take out three [Torah] scrolls — in one [the Reader] reads the weekly portion, in the second that of the New Moon, and in the third he reads the maftir of the Portion of Shekalim.	סעיף א — ראש חודש אדר הסמוך לניסן שחל להיות בשבת קורין פרשת שקלים שהיא "כי תשא" עד "ועשית כיור נחשת", ומפטיר "ויכרות יהוידע". ומוציאין שלושה ספרים — באחד קורא פרשת השבוע ובשני של ראש חודש ובשלישי קורא מפטיר בפרשת שקלים.
Paragraph 2 — On the second Sabbath we take out two [Torah] scrolls — in one [the Reader] reads the weekly portion, and in the second he reads "Remember what Amalek did to you..." [Deuteronomy 25:17–19], and the haftarah is "I took account of what Amalek did to you..." [I Samuel 15:1–34].	סעיף ב — בשבת שניה מוציאין שני ספרים — באחד קורא פרשת השבוע ובשני קורא "זכור את אשר עשה לך עמלק", ומפטיר "פקדתי את אשר עשה לך עמלק".
Paragraph 3 — On the third Sabbath, which is the fifteenth of Adar, we skip, and on the fourth Sabbath which is the twenty-second of Adar we take out two [Torah] scrolls — in one [the Reader] reads the weekly portion, and in the second he reads the Portion of the [Red] Heifer [Numbers 1–22], and the haftarah is "I shall sprinkle upon you pure waters..." [Ezekiel 36:13–36]. Paragraph 4 — On the fifth Sabbath, which is the twenty-ninth of Adar, we take out two [Torah] scrolls — in one [the Reader] reads the weekly portion, and in the second he reads "This month shall be for you..." [Exodus 12:1–20] and the haftarah is "In the first [month], on the first of the month..." [Ezekiel 45:18–46:15]	סעיף ד — בשבת חמישי שהוא כ"ט באדר מוציאין ב' ספרים — באחד קורא פרשת השבוע ובשני קורא "החודש הזה לכם", ומפטיר "בראשון באחד לחודש".
Paragraph 5 — [Alternatively,] if the New Moon of the Adar nearest to Nisan falls out during the week, even on the Sabbath Eve — we move up the reading of the Portion of Shekalim to the Sabbath before it, and we skip the second [Sabbath] in order that the Portion of Remembrance should be on the Sabbath most closely preceding Purim. [Even] if Purim falls out on the Sabbath Eve, we move up the reading of the Portion of Remembrance to the Sabbath before it.	סעיף ה — חל ראש חודש אדר הסמוך לניסן בתוך ימי השבוע, ואפילו בערב שבת - מקדימין לקרות פרשת שקלים בשבת שלפניו, ומפסיקין בשניה כדי שתהא פרשת זכור בשבת הסמוכה לפורים מלפניה. ואם חל פורים בערב שבת מקדימים לקרות פרשת זכור בשבת שלפניו.
Paragraph 6 — The days [of the week] on which the New Moon of Adar might be fixed are: 7, 2, 4, 6. The mnemonic for the Sabbaths which are skipped is: 7-15, 2-6, 4-4, 6-2-16. This means: when the New Moon falls out on the Sabbath [i.e. the seventh day of the week], we skip the fifteenth of [Adar], and the mnemonic is 7-15; when it falls out on the second [day of the week], we skip the sixth [of Adar], and the mnemonic is 2-6; when it falls out on the fourth [day of the week], we skip the fourth of [Adar], and the mnemonic is 4-4; when it falls out on the sixth [day of the week], we skip two Sabbaths, the second and sixteenth [of Adar], and the mnemonic is 6-2-16.	סעיף ו — הימים שראוי לקבוע בהם ראש חודש אדר - ז' ב' ד' ו'. וסימן לשבתות ההפסקה -זט"ו ב"ו ד"ד ובי"ו, כלומר: כשחל ראש חודש בשבת מפסיקין בחמשה עשר בו וסימן זט"ו. וכשחל ביום ב' מפסיקין בו' - וסימן ב"ו. וכשחל ביום ד' מפסיקין בד' בו וסימן ד"ד. וכשחל ביום ו' מפסיקין בשתי שבתות בו' וי"ו וסימן ובוי"ו.
Paragraph 7 — There are those who say that the Portion of Remembrance and the Portion of the Red Heifer are Biblically obligated to be read. Therefore, residents of settlements which do not have a [prayer] quorum need to come to a place where there is a quorum on those Sabbaths, in order to hear these portions, which are Biblically [mandated]. Rema: If it is not possible for them to come, in any case they should take care to read them with their tune and cantillation (found written [in manuscripts]).	סעיף ז — יש אומרים שפרשת זכור ופרשת פרה אדומה חייבים לקרותם מדאורייתא. לפיכך בני היישובים שאין להם מנין צריכים לבוא למקום שיש מנין בשבתות הללו, כדי לשמוע פרשיות אלו שהם מדאורייתא. הגה: ואם אי אפשר להם לבוא, מכל מקום יזהרו לקרותם בנגינתם ובטעמם (מצא כתוב).
