Chap. LIII.An Act making appropriations for carrying into effect certain Indian treaties.

Specific appropriations.Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That for the purpose of carrying into effect a treaty between the United States and the Delawares, Potawatimies, Miamies, Eel river and Weaws, holden at Grouseland, near Vincennes, on the twenty-first day of August, one thousand eight hundred and five, the sum of one thousand six hundred dollars is hereby appropriated, to be paid to the said tribes, annually, as follows: to the Miamies, six hundred dollars; to the Eel river tribe, two hundred and fifty dollars; to the Weaws, two hundred and fifty dollars; which several annuities shall be permanent: and to the Potawatimies, annually, for the term of ten years, and no longer, the sum of five hundred dollars, in addition to former annuities.

Specific appropriation.Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That for the purpose of carrying into effect a treaty between the United States and the Wyandot, Ottawa, Munsee and Delaware, Shawanee, and Potawatimie nations, holden at Fort Industry, on the fourth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and five, the annual sum of eight hundred and twenty-five dollars be, and the same is hereby appropriated.

Specific appropriations.Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That for the purpose of carrying into effect two treaties between the United States and the Cherokee Indians, holden at Tellico, on the twenty-fifth and twenty-seventh days of October, one thousand eight hundred and five, a sum of fifteen thousand six hundred dollars, and the further annual sum of three thousand dollars be, and the same is hereby appropriated.

Specific appropriations.Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, That for the purpose of carrying into effect a convention between the United States and the Creek nation of Indians, concluded at the city of Washington, on the fourteenth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and five, a sum of twelve thousand dollars, annually, for eight years, and the sum of eleven thousand dollars, annually, for the term of ten years, next thereafter succeeding, be, and the same are hereby appropriated.

Sec. 5. And be it further enacted, That the several sums appropriated by this act, shall be paid out of any money in the treasury, not otherwise appropriated.
