Chap. XLVIII.—An Act for the relief of Arthur St. Clair.
Allowance to him.Be it enacted, &c., That the President of the United States be, and he hereby is authorized to cause to be paid out of any moneys which may be in the treasury, not otherwise appropriated, the sum of two thousand dollars to Arthur St. Clair, who served in the army of the United States throughout the revolutionary war: Provided, the said Arthur St. Clair shall, previous to the receipt of the said sum of money, sign a release of all claim for further remuneration from the government for services rendered, or money advanced by him, during the revolutionary war.
