Chap. XXIX.—An Act for the relief of Royal Converce.
To be released from imprisonment.Be it enacted, &c., That Royal Converce, now imprisoned in the town of Burlington, in the county of Chittenden, and district of Vermont, shall be, and is hereby released and discharged from all claim and demand of the United States, to or upon a certain judgment or sentence, before the circuit court of the second circuit of the United States, began and holden at Rutland, within and for the said district of Vermont, on the third day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twelve, recovered or rendered, for the sum of five hundred and twenty-eight dollars, with costs, at their suit, for importing into the United States, to wit: into the said Vermont district, certain goods, wares, and merchandise, contrary to law.
