A learning Wikisourcer. Feedback or advice on my edits is welcomed! I've been on Wikipedia for awhile, but Wikisource has grabbed my interest.

I've installed and run a personal Mediawiki instance since 2017 that deals with the unification of science, philosophy, and religion. It's impressive software; I'm basically amazed it exists and is as easy to administer and use as it is.

Things I'm working on

[edit]
The Urantia Book, 1st edition
Index:The Story of Philosophy.pdf
A book that re-popularized philosophy, at least briefly, in the 1920s.
Index:Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice (1st ed, 1813, vol 1).pdf
A fine classic novel I've yet to get around to reading. Fully proofread, this needs validating.

Things that have caught my eye I might work on

[edit]
Index:Buried cities and Bible countries (1891).djvu
Well-executed Wikisource style Table of Contents (though using wikiable seems to be the current vogue advice)
Index:Essays on the Higher Education.djvu
Index:The wealth of nations, volume 1.djvu
A classic. As of early 2024 proofread but not validated
Sacred Books of the East, Volume 6.
The Study of Sociology. Transcluded from Popular Science Monthly. Already validated but I made a few small corrections. There is a later "library edition" that Spencer considers his best and final version; I may consider that as a separate, new project at some point.
Index:Americans (1922).djvu.
. Looks like a writing style comfortable to me and it is a study of Americans I am interested in.
Some one of these: Hamlet (Shakespeare)
Index:William Hazlitt - Characters of Shakespear's Plays (1817).djvu
Seems like eloquent writing. I could at least validate the characters and plays I know.
Index:Augustus (Shuckburgh) Augustuslifetime0000shuc.pdf.
. The Roman emperor during Jesus' early years.
Index:Dickens - A tale of two cities, 1898.djvu.
. I adore Dickens and still need to get around to this novel. Might as well validate as I go.
Index:The Victorian Age in Literature.djvu
An opinion essay by G.K. Chesterton. Might be a candidate for Match and split
Index:Geology and Mineralogy considered with reference to Natural Theology, 1837, volume 1.djvu
Buckland is not a geologist/theologist I ever learned of in my geology education (maybe not surprising if it was a materialist conception of reality). I like the title of this.
Index:A dictionary of printers and printing.djvu
Seems like a lovely, if lengthy work on the history of printing up until then. The guy did it on nights and weekends, which is commendable. Original scan needs at least one repair.
Index:Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire (1827) Vol 1.djvu
Not sure I'll ever get around to this giant tome, but if I do it would deserve full presentation on Wikisource.
