Go to A Woman of the Century and pick a subject from the Index of biographies. Click. On reaching the Main_space page (this is what is presented to readers), please check your subject starts with her name and the end is not cut off, and a photo is included. This checks page formatting done by a bot. It is not always right. If not right, you can try to fix it from observations of other pages or leave a comment on the talk page and try another subject.

You will see the page links in the left margin of the Main_space page. Click the first of these to enter the Page_space, where we edit the text.

Your job as proofreader is to match the text as it is on the scanned page, as far as technically possible, with a few wikifications.

There are differing opinions amongt Wikisourcers on how to proofread. I am developing a wikified Distributed Proofreaders guidelines with the hope of encouraging this large group of proofreaders to come to WS. It is a work in progress, feedback welcome here.

For this project, I am the Project manager, in charge of ensuring a standard approach to proofreading, formatting and finishing for this work.
