Transclusion too early
[edit]You've transcluded the Strabo work far too soon. The pages are not in a state where it makes sense to transclude them. They need to be proofread and tidied up before they are transcluded. I'll delete the transclusions for the time being. Once the pages have been sorted, they can be re-created. Beeswaxcandle (talk) 06:13, 4 October 2024 (UTC)
Hi there. I noticed a couple of things you've done with the links on this page. The removal of that to Homer's author page is appropriate because there's already a link earlier in Chapter 1. However, I was puzzled as to why you removed the one to Strabo. There is no mention of Strabo in the main body of the text in Chapter 1 and this is the first footnote that mentions him, so the link was appropriate. The second is why you changed the link for Heraclitus from an author page to Wikipedia. I understand the convention to be that links should be to Wikisource, if available. The alternative is to use {{wdl|Q41155|Heraclitus}}. {{wdl}} will default to Wikisource if there is a Wikisource page (the order of precedence is WS, Wikipedia, .....). - Strabo is the author of this work.
- Wikipedia is the main source of information. Wikisource "author" page has little information of ancent authors, and many have not left writen works that survived. See wikipedia section w:Heraclitus#On_Nature. Wikidata has even less information on ancient philosophers. Ceciliawolf (talk) 15:40, 24 January 2025 (UTC)
