license
[edit]Hi, I see you are putting a lot of work into "Algebra of generalized functions (Shirokov)". In the notes field it says "Reproduced by permisison of family of Author" which is really good, however we need a little bit more.
In order for the paper to reside on this project, it needs to be covered by either "{{PD-release}}", "{{GFDL}}", or "{{CC-BY-2.5}}". i.e. the family need to grant a non-revocable right to the entire world to allow unrestricted redistribution of this paper. If that can be arranged, evidence of this grant needs to be sent to permissions@wikimedia.org. Cheers, John Vandenberg 06:08, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
- Have you sent through details of this grant to permissions@wikimedia.org ? We need that in order that there is a permanent record, in case someone questions the copyright status at a later date. Cheers, John Vandenberg (chat) 18:51, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks!
[edit]Dear Birgitte. Dear John. Thank you very much for the help. Domitori 08:23, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
Peer review publication
[edit]Hello,
Works hosted on Wikisource also need to be previously published in a peer review publication (book, journal, etc.). A publication on a web site is not sufficient. Could you please indicate this for each work of Dmitrii Kouznetsov? Thanks, Yann 11:55, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
- Good idea. Thanks, Yann. Domitori 10:43, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
- P.S. In some cases, I doubt, if samizdat and preprints should be considered as a peer-preview publications; I have no estimate how many copies were (are?) circulating. Domitori 23:58, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Natalya Gorbanevskaya
[edit]I have deleted Author:Natalya Gorbanevskaya and Trouble or beauty (Gorbanevskaya) as all of her works are covered by copyright by default. If she is releasing them into the public domain, we can undelete them. John Vandenberg (chat) 11:40, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
John, I copypast the license
(begin) By this document I release for the free and open use my verse "Why speak of trouble, or beauty..." and all its translations; one is allowed to copy and distribute this verse under condition that my authorship is attributed and the reference to the main publication http://vavilon.ru/texts/gorbanevsk/gorbi1-1.html is provided. 2008, September 28, Natalya Gorbanevskaya. (end)
Gorbanevskaya wants it to be named by the first line. I already corrected the Russian version. Please look at Why speak of trouble, or beauty... (Gorbanevskaya) . I hope it is ok, a verse without title. Domitori (talk) 11:43, 28 September 2008 (UTC) Domitori (talk) 12:16, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
- I have deleted Why speak of trouble, or beauty... (Gorbanevskaya). Gorbanevskaya can not release Weissbort's translation which was already published and copyrighted, unless she has permission from Weissbort also. If you add the poem to Wikisource again, please use a free translation, and please provide proof that Gorbanevskaya wrote what you copied above. You can either link to the website where she posted it, or you can ask the copyright holder to send an email to OTRS with proof. —Beleg Tâl (talk) 20:53, 21 February 2018 (UTC)
This work does not have sufficient detail to demonstrate that it is in the public domain. If you have further detail would you please add it to the work, and address it at the copyright conversation. Thanks. — billinghurst sDrewth 14:16, 12 June 2010 (UTC)
