Hi, it's great to see you are continuing with A Course In Miracles. Please be aware that we have recently removed a few categories related to this work: see WS:PD#Clean-up. This is because we dont need to group subpages into categories, as a top down navigation from A Course In Miracles is much more useful to readers. On Wikisource, there is no requirement that sub-pages are in a category.

I have also tagged a page with {{no header}}, as we want all pages to have a computer readable header, hence the need for this meta data to be in a template. If the standard "header2" header isnt ideal for A Course In Miracles, I can create a customised template for just this work, like we have for {{EB1911}}. John Vandenberg 04:19, 10 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

It is difficult to automatically add the header to these pages, because the pages dont say which chapter they are. What I can do, is automatically add {{no header}} to every page that needs a header. They will then appear in Category:Subpages with no header template. John Vandenberg 04:34, 10 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Do you know what is up with this page: A Course In Miracles/Workbook For Students/ . pages that end in slashes are usually misplaced, duplicates, or something else is wrong with them. John Vandenberg 04:50, 10 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ok, I have done an automated search for pages that start with "A Course In Miracles" and dont have a header; there are only 10 that I found; they are in Category:Subpages with no header template . John Vandenberg 04:55, 10 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

United States elections in 2007

[edit]

I have moved this page to User:Remi/United States elections in 2007 because it is not a published text, so it doesnt belong in the main namespace.

I think this is a great idea, and I suggest that you develop it further, filling it with important documents (even just red links with links to the dastardly PDFs), and then we can move it to Wikisource:United States elections as a "topical index". John Vandenberg 04:27, 6 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

hello. please

ACIM Workbook finished

[edit]

Hi, Emesee. It took me a while to learn how to use this feature. The Workbook is complete, with each page linked to the next and previous one. I have verified all the links are correct. Coursian 11:28, 01 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Basic Information on the Stimulus Payments

[edit]

Hi. I am nominating the page Basic Information on the Stimulus Payments for deletion with my reasoning and discussion at WS:PD. As you have contributed to the page, I thought that I would give you a heads up to the discussion. -- billinghurst (talk) 10:26, 9 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Now at User:Emesee/Basic Information on the Stimulus Payments and when you are ready for it to be deleted again, please make a comment on the page, and I will notice and take action. Thanks. -- billinghurst (talk) 07:01, 29 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
If you would put it there again, then I will take if off of here and be done. Thanks. I missed it. Ugg. Emesee (talk)

It looks like this is the only page i can edit....

Please dont carry on like this. The edits under this account are quite erratic. Such as [1] and [2] Why do you want to use this account name instead of your other account names? John Vandenberg (chat) 23:26, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

There is an extension "Notitle" MediaWiki:Notitle http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Notitle - I think some of the pages would look much more presentable if that extension was enabled. I was voicing that, perhaps a bit tersely, I admit.

"Why do you want to use this account name instead of your other account names? "

Well, I'm probably not going to use it any more...

Again, none of my edits were meant as vandalism so now, if you'd unban me, I'd appreciate it.

Also I may have misread your reply to me on WR, so if you were saying that you would be willing to unblock me, and not however I might have mis-interpreted it, then I would appreciate it. Thank you, Mr. Vandenberg. Emesee (talk) [(UTC) 00:28, 9 August 2009] [Time added by ResidentScholar]

"I was voicing that, perhaps a bit tersely, I admit." But you didn't admit it until after you harrassed and insulted [1] [2] ThomasV for temporarily blocking you when he suspected you were making a vandalism attempt. He probably could have removed the block within minutes of an explanation. Your response was so childish that it actually invoked sympathy rather than disdain so nobody specifically referred to your harrassment and insults.
"Again, none of my edits were meant as vandalism so now..." It's not only important to avoid the imputation of suspected guilt, it's also important that you don't capitalize on that imputation as a exaggeratedly dramatic element to foster recrimination against your accuser. That you don't seem to understand this invokes either misplaced sympathy towards your seemingly blind craving for a restoration of your privileges or levity towards your apparent attempts to fatuously barrel past your contemptuous treatment of an administrator. ResScholar (talk) 07:00, 15 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

You do not have permission to edit this page, for the following reason: Your IP address has been automatically blocked because it was used by another user, who was blocked by ThomasV. The reason given is this: Autoblocked because your IP address has been recently used by "Wikademia". The reason given for Wikademia's block is: "Vandalism: I am not sure, but this looks like vandalism; unblock him if I am wrong" Start of block: 14:01, 8 August 2009 Expiry of block: 14:01, 9 August 2009

I have removed the autoblock. You can use this account. If you need to use a new identity in order to contribute, please explain why either here, on WR, or via email. John Vandenberg (chat) 05:56, 10 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

OH. Thanks I did not see this. Yes the new account I want to use is Dr. Eme - - - -- and maybe this one? What is the harm in socking as long as it is disclosed? And why do I want to do it - edit under different names, I dunno, personal idiosyncratic preference, I suppose, perhaps. (And I think most of my accounts are disclosed... by uthers on the university-like-wiki-environment). I would not mind being able to edit with User:Wikademia too, but if that violates policy (Please do, show me where), then i'll be -More than glad- to adhere to that explicit policy. (not a real)Dr. Emesee (talk) [(UTC) 05:51, 13 August 2009] [Time added by ResidentScholar]

"OH. Thanks I did not see this." You're the one who reposted the autoblock notice, so conspicuously that John Vandenberg had to remove your formatting marks so they wouldn't visually drown out his reply. That is, a notice that clearly stated the Expiry of the block as 14 hours after your first request, and 3 days prior your second flood of harrassing remarks towards ThomasV. Do you really expect us to believe such an explanation for originating a new account and using it to repeat your same behavior of multiple suspicious edits followed by verbal recriminations against the admin who issued a preventative block? ResScholar (talk) 07:27, 15 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

NoTitle

[edit]

I do not see any benefit in mw:Extension:NoTitle. The extension only adds:

h1.firstHeading { display:none; }

This can be achieved by adding similar logic into MediaWiki:Common.css, but it should be first discussed at WS:S. John Vandenberg (chat) 06:02, 10 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Oh - that extension is quite simple - h1.firstHeading { display:none; } - then. I'd really like to learn how to write these competently... Could it be added in common.css so that it can display selectively on certain pages? The benefit may be subjective, perhaps. It may really come down to aesthetics... ... so... beauty is in the eye of the beholder, perhaps.... hmmm.... I have contributed perhaps a slightly/some decent amount to that project here (ACIM), so I hope that might count for something in inflicting our aesthetic preferences on others. but. oh well. "consensus" is "consensus" is "consensus" .... hmm. Anyway, thank you for unbanning me. I did not see the note about talking about it first before using another account which I did - Dr. Eme (and consequently got banned for). I have responded above. All i saw was the block note on the block log, and thought "hmm, this is a bit cryptic of a summery... oh well... perhaps I can try to use a different account now..." and sure enough, I could.. So, I'd be glad to discuss it. And ill say here quickly, and I think it said it with a few more words above, but I'd like to edit under a different account mainly because I'm... hmm.. perhaps... idiosyncratic, they'll all be benign socks (that is my intention anyway) and I can disclose them all on the user pages or however wiki policy says that I should. WORDING

[edit]

But how dare you refer to my little experiment in media expression as "a tantrum". How about I refer to your behavior as power tripping trolling??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? not nice???? is it true???????? or how about the original ban on me as a power-tripping-trolling-tantrum . . . hmm. i like that. kinda rolls off of the toungue, don't you think? Troll.

stop now

[edit]

There are admins on this site. Their job it to detect vandalism. I am sure that you can understand that making erratic edits to pages makes their job harder, and is a form of Denial of service. So does flooding the RecentChanges with multiple useless edits, and using sockpuppets. Please stop now.

ThomasV (talk) 06:23, 13 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

How is it a form of denial of service? You are harassing ME STOP HARASSING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
