Proofread to Validated
[edit]When you have read a page in the Page: namespace, and you believe that it is correct, we would encourage you to change the status of the page. The orange square (with radio button) is Proofread, and the green is Validated. So do feel comfortable to declare the work validated, which means for us proofread twice. billinghurst sDrewth 12:38, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks so much for the validation with List of Carthusians. No great literary masterpiece, however, full of names of real people, and this is the only means to bring them to the web. billinghurst sDrewth 00:51, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
No problem. I assume that if I find a spelling error in the text, it should not be corrected?—unsigned comment by Envirogrrrl (talk) .
- If you find an error in the original, then either leave it or look to use use {{SIC}} to indicate the original and the corrected. I would think that the important corrections would be people's names.
Usage {{SIC|King of Muppets|King of Spain}}

Hi Billinghurst, as you can see, I'm still learning the ropes. If I find a link that doesn't work, I won't undo it. Sorry about that. Should I tell the person who put it there that it doesn't work? At this stage I am not confident that I could or should fix links. Thanks in advance. As well, is there a document that answers the basic questions about this process?
- You are doing very well. To your statement, it is not a problem anything that you have done, so absolutely no need to apologise; mentioning to the editor should normally do the trick. Those links are not simple links, especially when we are playing with the main and Page namespaces; even experienced admins shudder.
- Re general process, Proofreading is a start, plus Wikisource:Community Portal, though we are not the best at beautiful instructions, though we have been trying to do better. Also with being a smaller community, we do quite well supporting through our Scriptorium which is full of the community members discussing progressive ideas, and answering questions. — billinghurst sDrewth 05:01, 15 February 2010 (UTC)
Would you like the honour?
[edit]At Index:List of Carthusians 1800-1879.djvu, how about you edit the Index file and change it over to DONE. Woohoo, many thanks. I will look to get around to finish the template for use at WP, and get to update another page. — billinghurst sDrewth 13:54, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
