What a great catch! I would think that it would be worth an annotation to that effect then. Either put a comment into the notes, or you can use <ref group=annotation>{{user annotation|Original text states:"… …" which would translate as "… …"}}</ref>. We would also need to stick an appropriate heading at the base and something like <references group="annotation" /> at the base of the document. If you need a hand, let me know. Again, great job. Your second correction made me very suspicious of our source, so I checked against an image of the publication, and these would seem to be errors in transcription effort. As they are sense-making corrections, I have pretty much gone back to your first position and just corrected the text and referenced the page that I used for that correction. Can I say that this is why our preference is for our new methodology of proofreading and validating against the images themselves.
