AutoHotKey on Linux
All I want to do is wrap wiki markup around selected text, but now I have to learn how to use a new tool for that. I'm having trouble installing IronAHK on Ubuntu, and I don't know if AutoKey is all that good. Do you know what the current state of gui automation is on Linux? Removal of anchors from the page break template
I saw that you edited {{page break}} a few years ago to remove the anchors from the template. I'm hoping to use the template, but feel that it would benefit from the anchors. I was just hoping to follow up on why they were removed—your edit summary suggests it had something to do with spans disappearing? – GorillaWarfare (talk) 12:09, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
VIAF authority control lookup tool failing
Gday Inductiveload. I hope that you are somewhere close by. The VIAF authority control look has stopped looking up, and sits in a pool of nothingness twiddling its electronic thumbs. I am hoping that you wil be able to give it a poke and a prod and make it feel useful again. Thanks. — billinghurst sDrewth 03:08, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Billinghurst, it seems to be be working for me, both when served from Wikisource and from my local machine. Could you be a little more specific where it is failing? Long weekend here, so I should have time to take a look today (Sunday) or tomorrow. All the best Inductiveload—talk/contribs 02:20, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
- I tried it on the two pages you linked: Author:Edward Heath Crouch and Author:Joseph Chamberlain. It worked both times. However, I did later notice that when I tried to access the results page directly, I was told that the request failed because I was making too many (more than one) simultaneous requests. Could it be that? Cheers, Inductiveload—talk/contribs 20:42, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
