I was just coming to answer your question about uploading files, when I see that you've sorted through it. Well done! RL is about to claim my attention, but I'll check back in a few hours and see how you're going. Cheers, Beeswaxcandle (talk) 23:01, 29 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Jakob,

Go to this area and post a help request shown at the bottom of their page. https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Wikisource:HELP

Kind regards, —Maury (talk) 00:15, 30 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Just to be clear, I'm supposed to manually type the text of each page of the book in the page namespace? --Jakob (Scream about the things I've broken) 00:17, 30 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

ping, ping

You remind me of the United States Navy with that ping, ping, pinging of sonar to avoid enemy submarines when at sea. :0) I have not seen a "welcome page" in many years because I have been here that long. But I saw here at the top of your page that it shows where the help pages are. The text will transfer from wikicommons to wikisource and so will the images. Or at least that is supposed to be what happens. Where the text or image is messed up you correct it but it really isn't bad. There are some occasions when problems pop up but we as a group have always been able to work them out. Too, type in WS:HELP to get to that same area. —Maury (talk) 00:56, 30 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Does it matter that I've obliviously already created a number of the pages? --Jakob (Scream about the things I've broken) 01:02, 30 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
Probably because life is like that. It might be over-written. Give it a try. If you have typed in several pages you can always save that with copy paste to a notepad file and paste it back in later. That should work. —Maury (talk) 01:17, 30 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
@—Maury: So I just have to wait for a few days and all the pages will be automatically created? --Jakob (Scream about the things I've broken) 17:41, 30 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Jakob, go to Beeswaxcandle or AdamBMorgan to ask questions. Beeswaxcandle has been helping you and he is an administrator. But I think he is out due to some flu or whatever. I am not an administrator and do not know as much about what to do as he and other administrators know. I often have to get them to help me. Also, if you have not gone to WS:HELP and posted a help message at the bottom of that page then please do so to make sure you are getting the right answers from an "administrator." Of all the people who have been here on wikisource a long time I am the worst when it comes to the questions you are asking. Sometimes the files work for me but other times they don't and I don't know why. I see to in your "Welcome" you can place "helpme" on your page. Please do that as a backup for help. It works. I used to use that. Text and images should be there by now (to my knowledge). —Maury (talk) 19:31, 30 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Help

[edit]

I want your help. I added the lyrics of school song. but it got removed. How can I provide its evidence for copyright. Please mail me at --- prathamprakash29@gmail.com--Prathamprakash29 (talk) 14:42, 6 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Prathamprakash29: Someone seems to have already sent an email to OTRS. If they're releasing the text under an appropriate license, everything should be fine. --Jakob (talk) 20:18, 8 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
The pricipal had sent the permission to use the school song. Any update on OTRS.Prathamprakash29--Prathamprakash29 (talk) 03:54, 18 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
@Prathamprakash29: I don't know since I'm not an OTRS volunteer. I still question the significance of the work though. --Jakob (talk) 11:32, 29 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
