Cheats way
[edit]To get a spaced line we have {{***}}, and it can do some fancy things, such that {{***|10|3em|char=⚜}} produces ... ⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜⚜ which is usually a lot easier than plugging bits around {{gap}}s. — billinghurst sDrewth 13:37, 14 November 2011 (UTC)
- I must admit I didn't even try to see if there was a template for this. BTW the FLEUR-DE-LIS char didn't appear in my default IE9 font. Mark Hurd (talk) 15:35, 14 November 2011 (UTC)
- )-: I don't know IE9, but it should be more about fonts on your PC rather than IE9 unless is there a need to turn on Unicode support? <shrug> — billinghurst sDrewth 22:31, 14 November 2011 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure you're right, but it's not displaying in Chrome, on a different WinXP machine, either, though I have changed the default fonts there. However I've changed them to Lucinda-based fonts which seem to be somewhat good at Unicode support. In fact I have now spent more time than I should and I noticed using w:Character Map that many of my fonts skip from ♯ to ✁ :-( Mark Hurd (talk) 01:10, 15 November 2011 (UTC)
