Wikilinks in a work of fiction?

I am wondering what value you consider you are seeing in putting in wikilinks within a work of fiction, especially where they are links to WP. If they were links to Wiktionary where they were explanatory, I could see some level of what you are trying to do, however, I don't see that they actually add value to the work or to its interpretation. Generally we have been doing lighter linking than that (as per WS:Wikilinks) and generally very light in works of fiction. — billinghurst sDrewth 10:17, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
