Tips for Dealing with Texts

[edit]

Firstly, welcome to English Wikisource, and thanks for helping out with the legal realm! I have reviewed Index:Gilgit Baltistan Civil Servants Health & Life Insurance Act, 2019.pdf you've completed, and would like to give some tips when dealing with texts:

  • {{Anchor}} is for direct linking of specified provisions. For example, if you place {{Anchor|123}} before a sentence in a piece of "Example Text", when someone else searches or links "Example Text#123", they will be sent to the sentence you've placed it. As a result, Anchor templates should always be numbered by section numbers with subsection/paragraph numbers. You may refer to my texts for examples, like section 123(2)(a) of an enactment can be done like {{Anchor|123.2.a}}.
  • {{Nop}} splits the previous page with the next page, which should be used if you know a new paragraph opens in the next page. If Nop is not added, Wikisource will combine the text of the next page with those of the previous page.
  • Avoid using HTML tags like <small></small>, <big></big> or <center></center>, as HTML tags may cause troubles to those who download e-books from us.
  • The first line of each paragraph/section should not be indented as per WS:MOS#Indentation.
  • If possible, you should fill in the author, year, publisher and location of the source text in the index page.

Again, thanks for participating in English Wikisource, and helping in proofreading the Kerala Police Act, 2011 I've finished! If you have editing problems or questions, please raise them at WS:H, thanks!廣九直通車 (talk) 12:53, 24 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

And also, I found the Pakistani National Assembly maintains a list of gazetted Acts passed by them. Although most of their quality is worse than the Printing Corporation of Pakistan's ones, but their database covers more enactments.廣九直通車 (talk) 12:56, 24 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
Hello 廣九直通車! Happy to have proofread your work, and thank you for taking the time to review whatever I've published! Also, I appreciate your suggestions! Roovinn (talk) 14:20, 24 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
One more thing, thanks for the link! Roovinn (talk) 14:23, 24 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

TOC in South Dakota Statutes

Hi, I saw your plea for help in passing, so have dealt with the first page for you. Want to try and carry on from there? Beeswaxcandle (talk) 08:42, 4 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Sure thing! I was just being a humorous about it because it looked so hard to put it into MediaWiki form.
No worries, thanks for the help! Roovinn (talk) 08:51, 4 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Constitution of Algeria/Preface

This page has no content, just a header. Is something supposed to go there ? -- Beardo (talk) 04:07, 14 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
