Max Lindauer To Sell Boars At State Sale
Max Lindauer, Washington, has two Yorkshire boars that have qualified and will be sold in the next sale of tested boars of the Missouri Swine Evaluations Station. R. K. Leavitt, supervisor of the station, said that Lindauer boars have have made an outstanding record. In addition to exceeding the necessary records to qualify, the boars have passed inspection of a screening committee of breeders and college personnel, who checked on conformation and quality of the boars. The average requirement of the testing station are average daily gain minimum, 1.7 lbs. per day; feed efficiency maximum, 325 lbs.; backfat probe minimum, 1.4 inches; and index, 100 points or more. Carcass data will be available on littermate or half brother bar rows of all boars offered for sale. All boars that have passed the testing station requirements will be sold in a sale September 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the University of Missouri Livestock Pavilion in Columbia.
