Mr. Chun Shut-kai

Mr. Chun Shutkai, compradore of Messrs. Butterfield and Swire, Shanghai, and one of the leading business men of the city, was born in Heungshan, Kwangtung, in 1873. After graduating from Queen's College, Hongkong University, he came to Shanghai to engage in business, being associated with his late father, Mr. Chun Ko-liang, who was serving as compradore for Messrs. Butterfield and Swire and other firms. After the death of his father, Mr. Chun became compradore and in a comparatively short period of service, has won for himself a host of friends among both the foreign and Chinese communities in Shanghai. Mr. Chun is a director of the Canton Guild, the Shantung Road Hospital, the Pootung Hospital and the Union Club. He is a member of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce at Shanghai and an advisor to the Ministry of Communications. For his services during the drive for funds of the International Famine Relief Committee, he was awarded in 1922 the Third Class Chiaho Medal.
