Simeondahl (talkcontribs) • activityGlobal Simeondahl (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · block user · block log · SUL) I applicants for "administrator" as it is a nice tool to have when you check edits and helps. I have admin on the Danish Wikisource. However, I have not that many edits here on this Wiki. But that will change if I will be awarded to admin or not. Hope you will consider my application as I will do all my very best to help. Greetings Simeondahl (talk) 17:29, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Not yet I hope I don't come across as a bad guy, but I think it's way premature for you to get an adminship here. You only have six edits to content pages; that's less than the edits you've made to your own userspace (which is a really, really poor statistic). I'm not saying you wouldn't be a good admin; I'm willing to believe that you're a great admin at the Danish Wikisource, but I'd prefer an administrator candidate show experience on a project before they ask for adminship, not mention that they'll make more edits after they get it. For example, in June you mentioned[1] that you've "read alle the norms" about the site, but that isn't reflected in your edits; you just simply haven't done enough to show any grasp of our specific policies. Another example would be the message you left at User talk:Cdfdfddfdfdfas; it wasn't particularly helpful, and didn't give any pointers about why the page was wrong. That would've been an excellent time to showcase your knowledge of our policies, but you didn't.
Please don't take this as a "never come back" sort of message; quite the opposite, I'm telling you to actually get more involved and make a case for yourself before making another attempt. EVula // talk // 17:57, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, i will leve the admin work in your hands ;) But i will still be a bit active. Have a nice day, greetings Simeondahl (talk) 20:15, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Not yet too. I hazarding a guess that this is withdrawn.
Administration at a busy wiki like enWS requires a demonstrated understanding of the site and its culture and the page Wikisource:Adminship gives good guidance. One of things that I look for in a prospective admin is a strong cross-namespace presence, as a bare minimum of where I want to see contributions is main, Wikisource:, Page:, Index:, and some in User talk:. I also don't understand why you are asking at this time; adminship is access to some tools, nothing else, and if you are only lightly contributing, the tools are not needed. — billinghurst sDrewth 08:19, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
