A lot of Newsletters

[edit]

English Wikipedia recently created a directory of Wikimedia newsletters. At the time of writing, there are nearly two hundred publications included (both inactive and active). This publication is featured among them, and it is the only one listed serving the Wikisource community.

Many newsletters do fail, but Wikisource:News hopes to remain steady in its activity.

Wikimedia now has a new URL shortener. Now may be a great time to make a link to your favorite text or author!

Here are some cool links to check out:

Wikisource Location Shortcut Short URL

2019 affiliate-selected Board seats process

[edit]

The Wikimedia user group, Wikisource Community User Group (WCUG), is an eligible entity to participate in this year's affiliate-selected board of trustee seats selection process. User:VIGNERON, an administrator on Commons, French Wikipedia, and Multilingua Wikisource was selected to represent WCUG. He will have the important task of voting on behalf of the wikisource community during this process. At press-time, no nominated candidate has mentioned Wikisource specifically in their candidate statement.

Users have been encouraged by the Wikimedia Foundation to ask questions to the candidates here.
