How are we treating the copyright status of this work? Is there evidence it was published in the USA before 1923 to be public domain via that route? Winston Churchill didn't die until 1965 so his work is not out of UK copyright yet; indeed neither is that of David Lloyd George (d. 1945). And what do we make of the photos, which have no photographer credit - are they eligible for Commons?--Keith Edkins (talk) 12:14, 10 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

I accidentally uploaded the file to Commons when I should have uploaded it here. Billinghurst has kindly fixed this. I suggest that the images should be uploaded here as well, to be on the safe side. Beeswaxcandle (talk) 08:11, 11 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
i noticed that quotations in the text were using blockquote rather than smaller. is that correct? see [1]. Slowking4Farmbrough's revenge 13:00, 13 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
I used blockquotes because smaller just doesn’t render particularly well in Firefox, IMO. But, smaller is probably more faithful to the unindented text. I’m not fussed either way. Moondyne (talk) 13:21, 13 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
i agree the blockquote looks better, but small more "correct". either way is fine. Slowking4Farmbrough's revenge 18:40, 14 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Authors

[edit]

I did not know what to do about the fact that some authors were vague or poorly credited, and those easily recognizable had multiple works with their names as titles, so I started a special list Great Speeches of the War/Authors. I am not sure about its formatting. Tar-ba-gan (talk) 16:53, 26 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
