24th Oct. 1549. Ho died 19th July 15.57, and was
buried in the cathedral of Christ Church, Oxon.
.John Boxall, LL.l)., archdeacon of Ely \ succeeded in
July 1557, and ID the hitter end of 1559, or beginning
of 1560, was deprived. He was also dean of Norwich.
William Lattmer, S.T.P., succeeded in 1560. He
died in Aug. 1583, and was buried in the cathedral
on the 28th of that month .
Richard Fletcher, S.T.P., admitted 15th Nov. 1583;
in 1589 he was made bishop of Bristol. Thomas X ivi 1, S.T.P., admitted 2nd March [590-I ;
in 1597 he was made dean of Canterbury. John Palmer, S.T.I'., archdeacon of Ely, was presented
to this dignity 3rd Dec. 1597. He died in 1607. Richard Clayton, S.T.P., archdeacon of Lincoln, was installed 28th July 1607. " (U ^ about the begin- ning of June 161:. George Meriton, S.T.P., was installed 12th June 16 1 2. He was made dean of York in 1617. He died 23rd Dec. 1624. Henry Beaumont, S.T.P., was installed 20th March 161617, anf l m 1622 was removed to the deanery of Windsor. Ob. 30th July 1627. William Pierse, S.T.P.,was installed 9th June 1622,
and in 1630 was made bishop of this see. John Towers, S.T.P., was nominated 29th Oct. and instituted 14th Nov. 1630; and in 1639 was made bishop of this see. Thomas Jackson, S.T.P., nominated 17th Jan. 1638 39 4 \ He died 21st Sept. 1640, and was buried in the chapel of Corpus Christi college, Oxon, of which col- lege he was president. Johx Cosix, S.T.P., was nominated 31st Oct. and installed 7U1 Nov. 1640; and presently after the Re- storation, in 1660, was made bishop of Durham.
